If you're like a lot of readers, you reach for something cozy to read with your coffee and cake as the cooler temperatures start to settle in. Some of the best times I remember include the scent of wood-burning fires, the soft yarns of cream-colored afghans on my shoulders, and the distant sound of the church bells signaling the hour, while cuddled up with a P.G. Wodehouse novel and giggling while trying not to spill my rich dark coffee. Still on my list so many wonderful books out these days, from fiction to inspirational, like With Angels' Wings by Stephanie Collins or The Story of a Soul, for my deeper, more contemplative moments, by St. Theresa of Lisieux.
But there are hundreds of new, truly inspired books written every year! So as the leaves begin their autumn crackle under your feet as you head toward home, why not find something warm and kind to read, maybe even one or two from my Serve Series about funny Catholic girls doing their best during World War II.
I'd love to hear from you!
